Can you believe the first month of the year has already zoomed by? We have been very busy since we reopened after New Years working on new commissions, designs for stock, repairs and remodelling. Wedding ring consultations are well underway with queues out the door most Fridays and Saturdays as we work with couples to find their perfect wedding bands. For this we are as always very grateful and it is a pleasure to serve you and look after all your jewellery needs and to know that we are trusted by so many. It means a lot to us.

January has certainly made its mark—particularly in the gold market. Analysts had predicted a relatively modest increase of around 5% for 2026, yet within the first four weeks alone we have already seen prices rise by approximately 10%. Platinum and silver prices are also now following suit and increasing quickly. Although there has been a small drop in the gold rates this week, gold shows little sign of slowing, and all indications suggest another strong year ahead for this beautiful metal. If you have old, unworn or broken jewellery and would like to sell it to us, now is a great time to take advantage of the gold rates. Learn more about selling your gold in our blog article featured at the bottom of this newsletter.

February is here and is set to shimmer with inspiration and anticipation for the events that are taking place this month. The Chinese New Year begins on 17th February, the Winter Olympics capture global attention, and the renowned Tucson Gem & Mineral Show in Arizona is now underway, running throughout the month. Often described as the Mecca of gemstones, Tucson draws the world’s leading jewellers, gemmologists, valuers, and collectors. It is where extraordinary stones change hands, ideas are exchanged, and early indicators of colour palettes and gemstone trends for the year ahead begin to emerge.

Meanwhile, New York Autumn/Winter Fashion Week offers its own insight into upcoming design and style influences for 2026. For those in the creative and design industries, February is a dynamic, fast-paced month—one that helps shape the aesthetic direction of the year to come.

Closer to home, February brings moments of warmth and celebration. Valentine’s Day, and for the foodies out there, Pancake Day invite cosy evenings, thoughtful gestures, and meaningful gifts. If you are searching for a Valentine’s-inspired piece, we are proud stockists of Kit Heath jewellery, who have just launched a beautiful new heart-shaped collection. From romantic coloured gemstones to delicate hearts, floral motifs, or minimalist contemporary pendants, we also have a selection of newly finished pieces fresh from our workshop—each designed to be cherished. Whether for Valentine’s Day or upcoming birthdays and anniversaries do have a browse online and in our newly decorated windows for some gift inspiration.

This Month’s Highlight

We are proud to be supporting this year’s Flower Ball at the magnificent Goodwood House on 28th February 2026, raising vital funds for the Aldingbourne Trust.

With nearly 300 guests attending, each will receive a small gift from Timothy Roe Fine Jewellery. We are also delighted to be donating a raffle prize for the evening: a £1,000 bespoke jewellery voucher, accompanied by a curated selection of gemstones. One lucky winner will have the opportunity to create a truly personal and meaningful piece.

This year holds special significance for us as we celebrate 30 years of trading—three decades of craftsmanship, trust, and creating jewellery to mark life’s most important moments. Supporting an event that brings people together for such a wonderful cause feels like the perfect way to honour this milestone.

An evening of elegance, set within one of the most beautiful houses in the West Sussex, all in aid of a charity that changes lives every day—this is certainly something worth celebrating.

A Note from Dan

“Aldingbourne Trust is a charity very close to our hearts. I have spent many happy days at their country centre—exploring the maze, seeing incredible insects and reptiles, greeting the goats and peacocks, and perhaps my favourite part, enjoying delicious cakes and coffee in the café while my son does endless laps on the slide.

The care and genuine kindness of the people who work there is truly inspirational. The organisation does extraordinary work through its many businesses and initiatives across West Sussex and Hampshire, and it is a genuine pleasure to play a small part in supporting the trust and everything they do.”
