Jewellery Cleaning, Polishing & Rhodium Plating
Restore the shine and brilliance of your jewellery.
We offer three levels of care to suit your piece and budget:
-
Level 1 – A quick refresh including a stone check, ultrasonic, and steam clean to lift everyday dirt and restore brightness – ideal for regular maintenance (from £10 per item).
-
Level 2 – Adds a professional heavy polish to Level 1, removing surface scratches and restoring shine – perfect for dull or lightly worn jewellery (from £35 per item).
-
Level 3 – Includes all Level 2 services plus rhodium plating for white gold, restoring its bright, silvery finish and protecting the surface – best for a complete rejuvenation (from £45 per item).
Regular cleaning not only enhances the appearance of your jewellery, it also allows our goldsmiths to check for wear and damage, helping to prevent more costly repairs or loss down the line. We recommend an annual visit for jewellery and ring cleaning to keep your pieces in the best condition.

Find out moreOur Workshop
Our Chichester workshop is the heart of everything we do.
Staffed by a dedicated team of master craftsmen and equipped with advanced technology, it allows us to carry out repairs, remodelling, and bespoke jewellery creation entirely on site. There’s no need to send anything away. Unlike many jewellers who rely on external services and can take weeks to evaluate a piece, we offer expert advice and assessments right here, often while you wait. We’re proud of our workshop and the exceptional team behind it – and we’d love for you to come and see it for yourself.
The tools of the trade
We use expert tools and technology to ensure the highest level of precision and quality.
Laser welders
A piece of machinery no modern jeweller would be without – we are lucky to have two laser welders on site. Ideal for retipping work, creating invisible joins and tacking components together prior to soldering – laser welders and welding are vital skills for the modern goldsmith.
High RPM micromotors
Long gone are the hand operated archimedes drills and noisy pendant motors – at Timothy Roe Fine Jewellery we use high tech micro motors which spin nice and quietly at speeds up to 20,000rpm.
Traditional hand tools
Every goldsmith and setter will need a good set of tools – from needle files to every grade of emery paper imaginable. We make sure our team have the best hand tools available to help them achieve the best possible quality.
